The House Oversight and Government Reform (OGR) Committee released
the seventh version of its FITARA (Federal Information Technology Acquisition Reform Act) scorecard, showing progress at many agencies. Of the 24 agencies rated, none saw a decline in their score, 11 agencies received higher scores than their May scorecard, and 13 agencies received the same score. In addition, no agencies received an “F” grade - the first time in the history of the scorecard. However, six agencies did receive a “D” level score.
The OGR Committee held a hearing
to discuss the results of the newly release scorecard, in which Carol Harris, Director of IT Management Issues at the Government Accountability Office noted that the improvement was driven by agencies increasing their use of software licensing agreements.
